A. OBJECTIVES:
1. Knowledge:
By the end of lesson Ss will be able to use the simple present tense.
2. Skills: Speak and write
3. Teaching aids: Lesson plan, referent book.
B. PRCEDURES:
1. Greeting:
2. Warm up:
Teacher asks Ss to recall the simple present tense, give the new sentences and correct for one another.

3. New lesson:

- Teacher asks to give the sentences in English: "Tôi đi học vào mọi buổi sáng"; " Mặt trời mọc ở đằng Đông"...
- Teacher asks to give the form and usage, after looking at the examples.
* Examples:
+ He plays soccer every afternoon.
+ They live in a city.
+ The sun rises in the East.
+ The last train leaves at 5 o` clock.
+ When it is ready, I’ll give it to you.
If I come there tomorrow, I’ll phone you.
+ I am used to getting up early.
- Teacher explains the way of using the verbs in the simple past tense.
- Teacher asks Ss to give the new sentences about the simple present grogressive tenses.
- Teacher lets Ss correct for one another.
- Teacher concludes.

Usage:
- Diễn tả một hành động hay sự việc thường xuyên xãy ra.
- Diễn tả một hành động có thực xãy ra trong một thời gian tương đối dài.
- Diễn tả một sự thật hoặc một chân lí thời nào cũng đúng.
- Diễn tả một sự việc trong tương lai đã được lên kế hoạch.
- Nói về tương lai trong các mệnh dề bắt đầu bằng "If/When".
- Dùng trong các cấu trúc: "To be úse to + noun/V-ing" để chỉ một tập quán hay thói quen trong hiện tại.
Practice:
I. Change in to the negative and question form:
1. He goes to work every evening.
2. Phong plays basketball.
3. My mother is a teacher.
4. They have many beautiful clothes.
5. They are in the living room.
II. Put the verb in the brackets in the simple present tense.
1. Ba ...(be) my friend. He ...(live) in Ho Chi Minh with his parents. His parents ...(be) workers. Ba ...(go) to Nguyen Hue school every day.
2. Lan and Nga ...(be) in class 8A. They ...(have) lunch together. After school, Lan ...(ride) her bile home and Nga ...(catch) the bus.
4. Cosolidation:
Ss recall the way of using and the form of the simple present tense.
5. Homework:
Ss learn the way of using, the from of the simple present. Then put new sentences and the new lesson the simple present grogressive tense.
